Built in Taiwan, the Ronin 38' has the distinction of being one of the very few Asian built convertibles taken seriously by the hard core sportfishing community. She is well built and good looking with a handsome profile. The 38 was sold by Ronin until 1986 when Hatteras took over the mold.

Accommodations | Beginning forward the master stateroom is furnished with a full size berth situated along the centerline. Two hanging lockers are to either side of the berth with vanities both to port and starboard of the full sized berth. Three large drawers are located beneath the island berth. Private access to the head is just to starboard of the companionway. Moving aft and to starboard, the spacious head includes a large, stand-up shower stall and vacu-flush head. Hull & Deck | The deck has a Galley Maid windlass and one anchor.The cockpit includes a tackle station to starboard, bait freezer to port, a fish box and well in the cockpit sole, transom door, and freshwater/raw water wash down. The Ronin features three piece construction - her hull, superstructure and bridge were constructed from 3 different molds eliminating seams in the cockpit and screws in the bridge. Her cockpit is expansive with almost 110 sq ft of fishing/lounging space.

Engine & Mechanical | The engine compartment is well designed with ample access to systems,engines and generator. There are two reverse cycle AC systems. There is a central vacuum system.
The port engine was rebuilt and has less than 30 hours, the starboard engine has 3781 hours.
Burns 18gph @ 16 to 18 knots, very comfortable at 21 knots @ 2100 rpm
