A Taste of the Old World of Yachting

This classic designed semi-V hull is in great shape. She left the boat yard in September 2016 with a new bottom paint and Awlgrip hull sides. Built in 1952, the hull is double planked mahogany (refastened bottom w/SB screws, 1999) with a transom of 5/8" varnished mahogany over marine plywood. The bilges are dry and have a fresh coat of paint.

In the late 1990's the boat received some major work which included modifying the interior, removal of the large side and front windows replacing them with highly polished stainless opening ports. New engines and tanks were installed at that time.

There are two twin berths in the forward cabin. A head in the bow was eliminated to provide additional storage. There are 4 opening ports and a round overhead hatch. In the main salon there is a settee/berth and a spacious head. The galley features the original brass sink and bronze faucets. The picnic style large cockpit is ideal for entertaining.

The current owners took the boat to the Mediterranean for many years to cruise. While there they had a hard top built to replace canvas, davits and a hinged stainless steel signal mast were added. They lived the simple life without air conditioning or generator. Now she is berthed in downtown St Petersburg looking great and ready for her new owners. "There Is A Tide" by RuthAnn K. Harper is about the boat and their adventures.
