The Northeast 400,built by Cabo Rico, is a powerful motorsailor that both sails and motors extremely well. "Natural Selection" is an outstanding example of these fine yachts. She is fast and fun to sail. She has a large cockpit that can be easily entered either from the dock or from the dinghy via the swim platform through the transom door. The cockpit is on the same level as the main salon and is entered via sliding doors to make entertaining a delight.
Her 100hp engine provides 7 to 8 knots cruising speeds with plenty in reserve. Under sail she has been referred to as very competitive, delivering 7 to 8 knots upwind in a breeze.
